I'm not a huge fan of this song, but I do like the lyrics.

Take a look at what's left of the cars. She was traveling more than 80 mph when she broadsided them.
I've been following this case since the accident happened. It angers me when someone gets drunk, then gets behind the wheel of a car. But it sickens me when someone is killed as a direct result of their stupidity.
It may sound like I am totally against drinking. I'm really not. But please, for everyone's sake, do NOT drink and drive.

Such a good date :D The world was blessed with me on that day. What more could you want. Several people asked me how old I turned today, and I told them 29 with 13 years experience.
Growing old is inevitable, growing up is optional.
You're only as old as you feel.
Abraham Lincoln:

Abraham Lincoln:
And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years.
Albert Einstein:People like you and I, though mortal of course like everyone else, do not grow old no matter how long we live...[We] never cease to stand like curious children before the great mystery into which we were born. letter to Otto Juliusburger
Harriet Beecher Stowe:So much has been said and sung of beautiful young girls, why don't somebody wake up to the beauty of old women?
Henry David Thoreau:None are so old as those who have outlived enthusiasm.

Sad Day
Today my neighbor's house goes up for auction. He lost his job a while back, sold the animals and now is losing the rest. We have known the family for 22 years. A sad state of affairs to see someone you have known over half your life, being forced out due to this crappy economy and lack of jobs. How many more people are going to have to go through this hell, lose everything you have worked for all your life, to end up with nothing? How long before someone will actually start doing something FOR our country and her people, not the dayem big businesses? The uncertainty, the stress, the heartache so many are going through, makes me want to just break down and cry for them.

internet
My loving isp decided to do some upgrading, without telling me first. So last night a little after 10:00p.m. POOF. No net. Didn't pay to call, as no one answers that late. 8:00a.m. this morning I was on the phone to them. Yes they know the net is down, no they don't know when it will be back up. No explanation, no nothing. Found out half the businesses around the area were also with no net. Upgrading fiber optics or some such thing was the reason I finally found out. Finally came back online at 4:00 this afternoon.
On the plus side, I did get all my errands ran, laundry done and a roast in the oven :D

21st century
Well it was bound to happen. After having a dedicated 8 year relationship with my last phone, I have decided it was time to upgrade. My new phone has pretty much all the bells and whistles I will possibly need for the near future. Which I'm sure I will learn over the next week or so.
The really sad part is, I can take a computer apart and rebuild it. I can fix most things that I break. But I absolutely Hate phones. I wanted one that fits in a pocket and my old one sure didn't. So I broke down and got a new one.

Mother Nature is cruel
Tease us with 40 degree weather, show us that sunshine, then take it all away. Merciless biotch. Today we are expected to get yet another 8 inches of the frozen white chit, in the form of snow and sleet. Accompanying said wondrous wet crap is a serenade of high winds to better blow it all over kingdom come and back.
Someone want to send me a one way ticket to some deserted island puleeeeeeeeeease?

Edgar Allan Poe quote
"By the dim light of an accidental lamp, tall, antique, worm-eaten, wooden tenements were seen tottering to their fall, in directions so many and capricious, that scarce the semblance of a passage was discernible between them."

I'm all for it. If it saves even one person from being plowed into and killed by someone with more alcohol then brains, it's more than worth it.
